If you have not enough free diskspace try to remove some unneeded voices or .DEM files. trulf Posted October 26, 2012 Report Share Posted October 26, 2012 TeleAtlas 2012 Q1 Maps for Europe For USA/Canada see: Navteq 2011 Q4 (Released in 2012) Maps for the United States & Canada I have tested this on my AVIC F-9110 BT with firmware (3.x), the maps are fully functional on my unit. This should also work for the F700 and up. Not sure about the F500. I haven't updated to firmware 4 yet but this should work for firmware 4.x as well. Instructions: Download the files below Extract them to the root of your SD card Insert SD card with only the folders from the ZIP file in the root Boot the unit in testmode (if you have the testmode folder in the root this will happen automagically) Make a complete backup of the flashdrive! (Instructions) Verify your backup is correct and copy this over to you PC so you have 2 backups. Go into the iGo/CONTENT folder. On my unit this folder is located in the APL2 folder. Delete the MAP, POI and LICENSE folders Copy the MAP, POI and LICENSE folders from the SD card to the flashdrive of your unit Copy the EZRIDER.EXE to the iGo folder, replacing the file already there Now reboot the unit, remove the SD card and enjoy the latest maps Links are interchangable (parts are the same). As I mentioned in another topic, I have installed a mix between Encrypt3d US 4.01 version with your European Maps, and works really good!! All I've done is taking the 4.01.zip file of Encrypt3d (see 3.0 Installation guide topic, page 62), delete his US maps & pois, and add your folders "maps" and "pois"... there is no need of changing the license folder or replace ezrider.exe, since the copy of Encrypt3d works just fine. The outcome is a 4.01 version running in an European F900BT, with all the European maps, pois... and Spanish speedcams! (thanks to Robser database, a very good free database of all speedcameras). The only bug here is that, although I can access Traffic Information Menu (TMC), I can't select a radio station that transmits Traffic Information (the button is "blur", in grey, so I can't select it). Tonight I will try to copy from my backup the related TMC files and overwrite the existing ones, to see if I manage to also add TMC to my great copy!!! If you have already gone through this problem, ideas (or solutions) are highly appreciated. Once everything works like a charm, I would try to upload the file so anyone with an F900BT or similar can upgrade his system from scratch to 4.01. Thanks to you both!!! Bento Posted October 29, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2012 Well I've encountered a few (bugs?) issues myself. Apparantly all of my POI's are gone and my speedcams don't work no more. The latter probably because of the POI's. When I browse through my POI's it just returns a blank list and none of my speedcams i bought from POIBase work, this did work in the previous maps. I'll boot into testmode again after dinner to check if everything it still there but if anyone has any tips please post Bento Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I installed Firmware version 4 on my unit with the Windows CE upgrade and those Q2 maps. The unit feels a lot snappier and my speedcams and POI's are working again Will post later this week.I still need a Dutch sys.txt because the navigation part of my AVIC is now in English. trulf Posted November 1, 2012 Report Share Posted November 1, 2012 Hi Bento, yesterday I installed again the 4.01 of Encrypt3d, with your maps, my buildings, Robser's radars... everything is working fine, including TMC, but I am only able to use the Phillipa UK voice. I put several Spanish voices on the Voice folder but don't seem to work... Is there something else I have to do besides adding the voice zips into the voice folder??? I am getting tired of trying different things and noone works!! Thanks for your help! Btw, there is another thing I would like to know. When I tick Speed Warning alarms, depending on what installation I have done, sometimes I can see a menu that it says "SIMPLE, APPROACHING, DISCONNECTED", and sometimes the same menu shows "ONLY IF OVERSPEEDING, APPROACHING, DISCONNECTED". Does anyone knows what file is responsible for this??? I would like to select "ONLY IF OVERSPEEDING", and unfortunately, it is showing right now "SIMPLE"... Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Regarding the Warnings of Speedcams, it depending on the day, sometimes shows "simple", sometimes shows "only if overspeeding"... that is really weird! When you said you got your TMC working? did you mean you can use both Blouetooth and TMC (traffic ifno) at same time. Because I can only get one thing working. If i use "UC" command in sys.txt then bluetooth works but TMC don't. However when I select EW, then TMC works not bluetooth. Any help much appriciated. Thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites
