copohawk Posted October 18, 2012 Report Share Posted October 18, 2012 Hi i an a total noob with this head unit .. its the avic d3 head unit.. i found it in my car audio pile... i cleaned it up and pluged her in and was like wow im putting that into my new winter car.. 2002 tundra v8 sr5 4x4 with rear diff lock .. not trd though... lifed 3 inchs on full suppention kit and added leafs in the back.. springs on an air ride... ik its alot but hey i need it for the long upstate ny winter... so i have no idea about the head unit.. when i turn her on the screen is blank with insert appriote disk ... i think i need to install navi maps because i bought all the stuff bluetooth .. xm.. navi ... ipod... parking bypass.. i just need to know do i need to install a new firmware.. how do i find out what firmware i have.. do i need to have a new firmware for the new 2012 maps.. ik its alot but much help would be great... thanks john Quote Link to post Share on other sites
