pionara
syros - this update already takes you to application version 4.010. You dont need the update that is for f40bt. That is only for a stock f40/940 that has application version 4.000.

bodziek75
Is it a cheap brand of card or one of the known good brands such as Sandisk? Did you format it in Windows using the Default allocation unit size? I had no issues updating with this using a Sandisk 8GB MicroSD card on an F920BT. hi pionara reformatting my card and put again into device not give me difference, only on screen is information "wrong install updates do you want install again" and press button "RETRY" Unit installs updates and after 0,5s back to the "wrong install updates do you want install again" and when i press "RETRY" is exactly to same again. Now i ordered 8GB Kingston micro sd card class 6 and a will try again.

bodziek75
hi pionara I change files and format card again, unit start automatic updates from 0% and finish again on 99% , then message "wrong card, replace card ....."
pionara
hi pionara I change files and format card again, unit start automatic updates from 0% and finish again on 99% , then message "wrong card, replace card ....." read the thread i linked to. this means you have some corrupted files on your update. maybe bad card, maybe bad update. download update again, try new sd card, try again
bodziek75
Hi Pionara can you share for me all update from the different source, Can you send me link to update. I'm still waiting for my new microSD.

radeonorama
Hi Pionara can you share for me all update from the different source, Can you send me link to update. I'm still waiting for my new microSD. pionara doesnt have the files, they have been provided by my and are clearly working fine for others and 100% worked for me. I would put a guess on a screwed card or your download was corrupt. If an alternate download is offered, they are only going to be based on the files i uploaded anyway. Try and redownload. Perhaps use a download manager like internet download manager. That always works nicely for me.
driverke
Hi guys, First of all, thanks for the software. I have an avic f930bt eu, and, at about 49% i get the message, update failed do you want to retry? Of course i tried that, but with no succes. now i have the testmode software because i want to try to delete the update part, i have read about this at this thread http://avic411.com/i...sd/#entry258286 I can get to the directories but if i am in USER\SYSTEM\RENEWAL there is no Progress.dat to delete. When i am in USER\SYSTEM\Download\ there is no StartKnd.log to delete I only get very strange signs with dir behind it and they seem to be empty. is it possible for the f930? do you guys know where or how to do it? The F930BT doesn't restart the update automatically, it starts up with my normal starting screen but after that the screen goes black, although menu is there but not functioning. I have formatted my 8 gb sdhc en re-installed the software, i have even tried to unpack the download with another unzip programm. I am now downloading for the 2nd time the software. I dont have any backup files and yes i know, STUPID! I even have tried to put the files on a new sd card (4 gb sdhc) but its the same effect, it starts, normal starting screen, then i get the question do you want to update, i select yes, screen goes black, doesn't reboot, no reaction. thank you for your answers. joss
Hi driverke, I own a F9310BT (F930BT EU designed for Volkswagen). I've done the update with success. On a FAT32 microSD >= 4Gb : FIRMWARE folder 1,98 Mo (2 077 336 octets), 1 subfolder and 3 files. (for BlueTooth) UPDATE folder 3,37 Go (3 621 773 202 octets), 18 subfolders and 216 files. CARDINFO.cif file 300 octets (300 octets). Make sure that in the UPDATE folder the " VERINFO.DAT " file (40 o) is pionara's one.

I have checked the files and everything should be there. I have used the verinfo.dat from pionara. I have fiddled around with testmode and can get in the directories. In my post above, i have insterted a link to a topic, also here on avic411. There they talk about how to delete some software and your unit would return into normal mode. But that's for a F10BT. So i am wondering if its possible to do the same with a f930bt. In the past i have had problems with a powerdip after glowing (diesel). So it might be possible that my memory is damaged (which i don't hope).
joss
Don't know if this F10BT method can apply to F930BT, files can be different. You get very strange signs with dir behind, you mean that directories names are non-standard characters ? Perhaps caused by a transfer interruption, reading/writing errors or damaged sectors in NAND memory. Care, i'm not a specialist. Before upgrade my USER\SYSTEM\Download\ folder was empty, i would try to copy and erase these strange elements, then try to restart navi or upgrade. If it's a NAND failure perhaps there is the relevant test tool in the Super testmode but these sensitive functions are not recommended.
