Don't know if this F10BT method can apply to F930BT, files can be different.

You get very strange signs with dir behind, you mean that directories names are non-standard characters ? Perhaps caused by a transfer interruption, reading/writing errors or damaged sectors in NAND memory.

Care, i'm not a specialist.

Before upgrade my USER\SYSTEM\Download\ folder was empty, i would try to copy and erase these strange elements, then try to restart navi or upgrade. If it's a NAND failure perhaps there is the relevant test tool in the Super testmode but these sensitive functions are not recommended.

Thanks joss,

I will try to copy and then delete the download folder.

And restart. i have the kingston 8 gb sdhc class 4 card as in post above.

Pionara, maybe u have an idea?

Hi driverke,

Last things: erase the contents of Download folder or erase it and recreate one empty.

Perhaps you have a PRG.FLG file on the root of USER, it means that you'll load applications from the PRG1 updated folder and no more from the PRG0. If your PRG1 is damaged perhaps you can load the system from PRG0 original applications just by backup and remove the PRG.FLG. I never tried. There's few threads on PRG.FLG.

Your MicroSD model is ok, you suceed to boot on it, and you didn't get a "wrong card" error message. You can also checkdisk it from pc.

Hi Pionara,

Thanks for your response.

Are there more people who had these problems with the update (looking here, it seems to be that i am a loner)?

Do you have any suggestions?

Can i manually replace all files?

I have read about somebody who had the same problems after using hackmode.

Hello,

Radeonorama and Pionara : thank you!

I just did the update during a one hour travel this morning and everything went flawlessly.

Now I'm going to figure out what changed with this update... I've already seen that now my android phone send the mp3 tags via BT when using BT audio and the apparition of the city names in the POI list, but I'm sure there are a lots of other new things to discover.

Greetings.

EDIT 1 : after testing everything, it seems that there was a problem with the TTS voices during the update. all recorded voices are present and can be selected in the language menu but I've lost the western europe TTS voices (FRF, GED, SPE, ...) which aren't in the TTSData folder anymore. Now there are other TTS voices that weren't here before (CZC, FIF, GRG, HUH, PLP, TRT) and they can be selected in the language menu.

And the most surprising is the ENG voice which is present in the TTSDATA folder and is not present in the language menu... <_<

EDIT 2 : the "azerty" keyboard used in France was replaced by a "qwerty" keyboard... there is a true problem with the localization.

KMQ1S8PF5CUQE7LKUX

und ersetzte diese Stelle mit folgender:

X07EURX27EURX30EUR oder diese Datei klick mich nehmen

Dear all,

I have a feq questions due i'm new in the navigation world.

I currently have a Pioneer F930 BT (EU version) with 2011 software+maps (11/12)

I would really like to update my F930bt this way, but i got a few questions:

Which maps are included? (whole europe or west europe?) I mostly need cards of BeNeLux, Germany, and France

And the Language of the system? Can i install the dutch language again?

How is the first time right % of this update? Because i don't have a backup of my current maps/ system.

Is there a way to make a back up of my current system and maps?

Thanks in forward for ur help

King regards,

So, these 2 "problems" are solved. The 6 TTS voices installed with the update (CZC, FIF, GRG, HUH, PLP, TRT) can't be modified but at least, I can install one (and only one) optional TTS voice (I have DAD, DUB, ENG, FRF, NON, PTP, SPE and SWS : if you need one, just ask :)) with an SD card following the official way : my french TTS voice "Virginie" is back... And for the QWERTY keyboard, there is an option to modifiy it to AZERTY but it's only visible when we enter an address! :D

Hello all, I have kindly been given access to the CNSD-310FM EU 2012 update and have the CARDINFO.cif and VERINFO.DAT files which hopefully with a little help from pionara, will make the update function for us EU users?!

The full update is currently uploading so i will post a link to that once it becomes available. (21%)

The link for the full update is here :-P

http://goo.gl/l9Oz2

To do the update on an F930BT you just have to:

01) Download the rar from the link above above.

02) Extract it to a safe place.

03) Open the extracted folders and go into the Update folder

04) Replace the VERINFO.DAT with the one in pionara's second post on this thread.

05) Copy everything you extracted onto a clean 4GB+ SD Card

(make sure that the files and folders on the route of the SD card are:

FIRMWARE (folder)

Update (folder)

CARDINFO.cif (file))

06) Put it in your Car (with the engine running or on a charger etc)

07) The Pioneer should reboot and start the update.

08) Follow the on screen prompts

09) Once completed, it may ask you to update again, if so, select no.

10) Enter Bluetooth settings and update the bluetooth firmware. (This seemed to take longer than i expected but dont worry, it does eventually get there! :-)

The above files are not a hack to do the upgrade, they are the official Pioneer Update Files. The only hack is with the VERINFO.DAT which I believe all it does is bypass the passcode request when the update starts. There shouldnt really be any reason for this to fail.

As always, with anything like this, I would always advise you backup first!

Cheers, Radeonorama

Thanks It'sworking perfectly on avic F10

Hello ,

I have an AVIC 9310BT ( VW version) of 930BT ; with September 2011 version of software and TELEATLAS map.

I would like to thank people posting here all details with a lot of patience to same type of questions coming ; I have read the thread but like everyone would like to be sure %100 before I do anything with the unit.

I would like to have the update installed as well and have few questions ;

1- Will the update cover the same map area as I have ( All EU installed ?? I am in Turkey so need East EU actually) , new version will be NAVTEQ 2012 map installed is it correct ?

2- Will the update make the new app mode enabled as well ; waiting for buying iphone apps ( this is the main reason for me to update )

3- How do you get the backup of the current system , I would like to get prepared for anything going wrong just in case ?

4- Should you need using 4GB or 8 GB MicroSD card only ( do you need class 4 ; I wonder if my 32 GB class 10 microSD card is ok to proceed, if not thinking to buy 8Gb Sandisk Class 4.

5- SD card placing time ; if I run the car first ; the unit starts immediately, should the card placed after the unit starts or ?

I can already run internet radio from my iphone to the unit and change radio stations from my steering wheel controls, wondering if I can use my google maps or other maps I buy from appstore after update?

sorry for the disturbance if this thread is only telling how to update

Once again Thank you for your support.
