Problems: bluetooth pairing - gray lines on screen

Recommended Posts

Here is what I have:

2011 Jeep Wrangler

AVIC-D3 (of course)

CD-BTB200 blue tooth adapter

PAC RP4-CH11-04 for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep

Background: (I realize some of this will be redundant for many of you.  I want to be as thourough as I can.)

I am using the factory amp.  The amp receives signals from the radio through the CANBUS to control volume.  This required me to use the harness with the black plug and straight wires to connect between the AVIC-D3 and the PAC harness.  The other end of the PAC harness is connected to the Jeep harness.

What I have done:

Spliced the PAC harness with the AVIC-D3 harness to include grounding the green parking brake wire.  Learned about the bypass and plugged in the harness with the RCA connectors, moved the yellow wire to the other pin location and grounded that wire.  (Both harnesses are connected to the AVIC-D3)  The bluetooth adapter is connected to a constant power source.  Thank you HiFiSi posting about the antenna control setting!  Still helping people 5 years later.

Problems:

I cannot look up addresses while driving.  The phone register button is not in the bluetooth function menu (I can't register a phone).  There are numerous horizonatl gray lines on the screen when I "Hide" the radio display.  There is no audio when navigating.  (The nav volume is turned up and active.)  When the nav audio should come on it mutes the audio being played but doesn't say anything.

Does anybody have any suggestions for what I should do next?  Thank you to anyone that has finished reading all of this.
