Not sure if people has more issues with the nagging screen showing up (emergency brake wired incorrectly) mine showed 1 time only. While I was adding a relay/capacitor to my HU to avoid restarting my HU when I start my car, I took a picture what i did with the wire, I grounded this wire and the parking brake together, make sure you ground it on a bare metal of the car... Hope this help...

Or just connect it to the black wire which is ground.  They all go to the same place....

For some reason not all cars ground their black wire directly... they go by ignition too... learned it the hard way :) Maybe that causes the nag screen(?) but definitely you can test it out with a tester...

I am planning to get an AVIC Z150 for my Toyota Tacoma and want to have the NAV/DVD bypass.  Following the text posts, I think I followed the procedure but would appreciate someone here commenting on photo.  Also, any advice for finding the backup and speed sensor wires in a 2013 Toyota Tacoma would be appreciated (Thanks!)

i am surprised that this thread is so slow right now with the radio now available for a few weeks.  Has there been any movement on this?  has the bypass method been confirmed somewhere else?  just curious.  i will be using a pac adapter and it has a brake switch wire.  the only person saying anything lately says you dont need to ground it but only move the mute wire.  just curious.

thanks everyone
