VBLUE42
And you are not seeing any interference or conflicts between the two BT devices?
VBLUE42
Does the BT module auto connect to the Dashcommand app when you launch it and does it ever loose connection?
dannyz3343
I use dashcommand and have no issues. Everything works flawlessly when I use my BT1. Bluetooth is very much able to connect to multiple devices at once. This is perfectly within its range of capability.
VBLUE42
So you turn the unit on, the phone connects to the module, you launch dashcommand and everything connects automatically, right? I am looking for specifics before I return the Kiwi for the BT1.
dannyz3343
Yep. I put it in my car 6 months ago and haven't touched it or thought about it since. Only exception to this are the handful of times I put it in a different car to get info from them, and when I switched to my 5 from my 4s. Although with the switch I didn't have to touch it, I just had to re-pair it.
VBLUE42
Thank you. I returned the KiWi and am awaiting the arrival of the BT1.

asfd64
I just came across this kickstarter project today. It's an OBDII reader that connects through bluetooth 4.0 to iOS (Android coming later this fall), it lets you configure custom gauges to display, has fuel tracking, error codes and it runs in the background. All data is uploaded to your online account which they say will be free. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shred444/drive-with-dash
VBLUE42
If its not Dashcommand compatible it's useless to me.
asfd64
Just thought I would mention it. Should have created a new post instead, sorry.
dannyz3343
I wonder if eventually someone will launch a competitor to dash command with AppRadio support.
xjohnx
I wonder if eventually someone will launch a competitor to dash command with AppRadio support. They do, unfortunately, the only comparable one that I know of is Torque, and they're Android only at the moment. I'd love to see an iOS version of torque.
dannyz3343
Is that appradio compatible? ARLiberator lets you run whatever you want, but if that has any chance of jumping ship it needs to be AppRadio compatible on Android first.
