Bento
My F9110 got stolen for the second time last sunday. I'm in the market for a new Pioneer but the new 950 is about $1300 in Europe which is out of my budget. I'm looking at the X/F940 but I can't really tell if this has the same 3D like navigation as the F9110. Anyone with a 940 care to elaborate? Also, what are the differences between de 940 and 950. Can't really find any major ones. Thanks, Bento
VBLUE42
These units use a completely different navi software and it is garbage compared to the navi software of the 9 series. Biggest difference between the 940 and 950 is the built in support for the iPhone 5 that will be supported once Pioneer releases the firmware update for the 950. And before you get anything else I would see about getting some kind of vehicle security if this has already happened twice.
Bento
The 9110 used iGo, any idea what the 940 uses? Can't find any map updates or mods on these forums.
VBLUE42
No one knows what the 940 uses. Its some sort of in house garbage that Pioneer has developed.
Bento
I have noticed. Alot less detail on the maps when at the same zoom level as the F9110, speedcam warnings for speedcams not on route etc. Is the 950 any better or is it basicly the same unit? VBLUE42
Totally different unit and different navi software.
