rockthebeef
I hope us AR2 guys get some firmware love. Here's more pics and an article. http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/23/pioneer-appradio3/ I wonder if I actually want a SPH-DA210 for the DVD/CD slot? If it has all the same connections in the back of the HU as the AR2, then I might be tempted to swap mine out. It would only take 10 minutes.
sandman77
I would love to have Bluetooth streaming on my appradio2. I see there is a model with a DVD/cd drive now too.
asfd64
I really hope they release an update for the 2. I like this part of the site: Continue to use the streaming music apps you love on-the-go with AppRadio 3. With more and more selections like Rdio® and iHeartRadio®, you’re sure to find the music you’re looking for without having to store it on your device. AppRadio 3 helps keep you connected to your music. Rdio dropped support yesterday.
antlane
And they still don't allow a permanent setting to mix radio with AppMode. How annoying!
rockthebeef
And they still don't allow a permanent setting to mix radio with AppMode. How annoying! I think the reasoning is if you wanted to use one of the many music apps, you'd have the radio mixed in, which doesn't sound pleasant. I would think 99% of users are more into their own music rather than terrestrial radio, so the way it is suits most of us. But I guess it would be nice if we had a choice to lock it however we want. Yes, I think it should be an option - it shouldn't be forced on people.
wei803
If you checked the gallery from engadget. The rear photos show an extra female USB lead.
dannyz3343
I want the ability to keep both the 30 pin and the HDMI iPhone 5 connection at the same time without having to jump between menus. technically I can do it right now, but I still have to jump between menu options. I want plug and play.
Synomenon
I liked the AppRadio units because they were "mech-less" and had a flat / flush screen on the front. With the AppRadio 3 including a CD/DVD drive and having that underbite (the part jutting out at the bottom that has the buttons), it looks more like one of their AVH units... VBLUE42
If you checked the gallery from engadget. The rear photos show an extra female USB lead. Yes but from what I am gathering from reading the info on Pioneer's site you can use but one type of connection.
wei803
So long they still providing updates for DA100. Anyone have words about this?
VBLUE42
Nope. And there is no garuntee that they will. If they don't offer an AR3 upgrade for the DA100 you can rest assured you won't see any further updates for it.
wei803
They finally replied my email: Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.Firmware updates are typically still provided for our discontinued models, but we have no information at this time on future updates for AppRadio 2.Sincerely, MarkCustomer Service Representative
