kendor
How does one update the maps on the Z140BH?
mds2004
If you are in North America you need to wait until the 2013 maps are released.
LS3 MN6
Normally the 2013 Update would be out by now. I'm wondering if the Z140 will get the Z150 interface. I'm willing to pay for the update. Anyone know any details?
chicagoandy
If you are in North America you need to wait until the 2013 maps are released. It's almost 2014. How long do we wait before we bail?

Camelonian
Not to hijack the thread, but random question - I believe I have the 2011 maps (Platform 3.000, App 3.001, Version 3) and was wondering if I could skip the 2012 update and just get the 2013 update when it is released? Is that even possible, or are these updates always incremental? I can get a copy of the 2012 updates going, but i'd rather not spend the cash if I can just wait and upgrade to 2013. I've been watching the site for updates, looks like 2012 is still up as of today's posting - http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/Map-Upgrades/NAVTEQ+2012+Map+Upgrade+for+AVIC-Z130BT+and+AVIC-X930BT

You could go directly Z110 -> Z140. The V5 (2013) update has never been released for US/CA (actually it might of been available then quickly pulled). I don't think you can actually buy the update you linked to. Notice that there's no Buy button. You can get it bootleg or on Ebay (probably also bootleg).

royalh
The navteq site shows a 2013 map upgrade, however they do not list it as being applicable to the z150 model. Does the z150 already have the 2013 Map data? http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Navteq-NavteqNorthAmerica-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewStandardCatalog-Browse?CatalogCategoryID=HosKCghBSzwAAAFCENQ2EZA9&ShowAllProducts=YES
viren.89
This does show that the update is available but how does one go by updating them http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Navteq-NavteqNorthAmerica-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewStandardCatalog-Browse?CatalogCategoryID=HosKCghBSzwAAAFCENQ2EZA9&ShowAllProducts=YES lol there are some streets that just don't show up on the maps yet cuz they were added a year ago. If the maps are acquired through torrents or something can they be still uploaded?
cpariise
I just did the update on my z140bh 120 from navteq.com it updates the maps, Bluetooth firmware and adds adjustable grid lines to the backup camera screen..
The Radius Kid
I just did the update on my z140bh 120 from navteq.com it updates the maps, Bluetooth firmware and adds adjustable grid lines to the backup camera screen.. I would think that BlueTooth and backup camera updates should come directly from Pioneer for free, not from Navteq on a paid basis ... if I read this right.

LS3 MN6
Looks like new Updates are not from Pioneer but NAVTEQ. I think you also get the interface update with the 2013 maps to look like the Z150. Z150 has 2013 maps already so no update. However we probably will get an update for the 2014 as well, since again the new system (now called NEX8000 or something) still looks to be based on the same hardware as the older Z140, Z150, etc...
