pedrohell
Hello everyone, new guy on the forum and on the AVIC world. Next week I will receive my new car, a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva, this car as an AVIC F840BT unit, I allready downloaded the F840bt manual and I read that this unit as a 2500 USB mp3 file limit, so my questions are: Is this file limit true? If yes, is there anything that I can do to bypasss this file limit (mod, crack, etc)? If yes, please point me some guides. THANKS in advance.
giblets46
Yes, it's true, I discovered this also! Couple of options for you, use a cd with mp3 files on to boost the number, or use an ipod, for which the rule doesn't apply ( I got a second hand 5th gen classic40gb one on eBay for £40 ( US$60)). Has the advantage of displaying album art too ( bit of a faf to get them all on, but happy it's done), which is another oversight with the USB on the units. You'll also need the cable. pedrohell
Thanks for your help, but in the place of an Ipod I can use my Android smartphone too, right? I only need to connect via Aux cable or USB. Those file limits are not fair, how can a manufacturer put such a small file cap on a device.
