Preroll
I think we need to add an NEX section now since there is no more Z, X or N HU. I compared their new flagship unit to last year's and it seems that last year's model had more features (especially 12 million POI's vs 7.9 million). Anyway, I'll be at CES this week to have a hands on look. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation
douger
For the promise of perhaps better smartphone connectivity and more timely map updates? It isn't worth a grand or more to me. And the OP is correct. It seems like each year, they seem to drop important features. I kick myself in the ass because I assumed that the 150 had the same voice activated features that the 140 - which I almost bought - had.
LS3 MN6
POI reduction could be because they removed old and outdated POI's without new ones being added. If they significantly cleaned up the POI index, then this would be a positive, not a negative. Although generally more POIs is better.
JohnK
Although generally more POIs is better. It's not .. if one out of every two places your nav leads you to, is closed ...
