koush
Hi, Does anyone know if the NEX range will be available in Europe, in particular the UK. I contacted Pioneer UK, and the guy would not say yes or no, just kept saying they are only supporting the current line up for the for seeable future. Thanks Koush
VBLUE42
Don't see any reason why they wouldn't. They have always supported word wide before but have not announced new units at the same time. And they will never comment until an official announcement has been made. koush
Thanks, I will keep an eye for it. Koush
Mark1979
I had thought that this announcement covered the European models http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/newsroom/news/ces/page.html Are these units the same as the NEX units but with different numbering or am I being a bit stupid? Am keen too to know when they are available.
VBLUE42
It appears that way.
koush
Great find, I will have to keep an eye out for when they actually come out. Koush
koush
Just found out the Nav software they are using is IGo, which can be updated via Naviextra.com website. From my past experiences using other sat nav, its not bad. Koush
VBLUE42
How did you find this out? The pics I've seen of the map software don't appear to be iGo to me.
koush
I was looking for info on the European versions and came across this website; www.carhi_store-buende.de/blog/pioneer-avic-f860bt-avic-f960bt-avic-f960dab-und-avic-f60dab On the 1st paragraph it states the software for the nav and operating system of the unit which is Android. VBLUE42
So how does that mean it uses iGo?
koush
I came across this website whilst searching for the European specs; www.carhifi-store-buende.de/blog/pioneer-avic-f850-avic-f960bt-avic-f960dab-und-avic-f60dab You will have to translate to English, but on the 1st paragraph is states the Sat Nav System and the operating system of the unit, which is Andriod. GHII
On that page on the screenshots, the very bottom right one, it looks like a backup camera...can anyone tell what's going on there? What overlay is that, what is it for?
koush
I believe that overlay is to guide your vehicle into a spot, you can adjust the width to your car width also. To answer VBLUE; From what the 2nd paragraph says, news about the navigation software, based on the IGo. Maybe I am wrong, but that's what it says. Koush
jwq
I believe that overlay is to guide your vehicle into a spot, you can adjust the width to your car width also. .... Koush says that it's only for certain VW models though (together with display of climate controls), so integrates with the VW bus system.
