Beezus Posted March 19, 2014 Report Share Posted March 19, 2014 Hi guys, I am kind of new at this self installing thing and gave it a try this time but I'm pretty sure I suck at it. I recently bought a X850BT off of ebay and tried to install myself. The first time I messed up the wiring and some came loose, so I took it out and did the wiring harness all over again. Now when I get to the password screen the keys will initially let me type but then the keys will grey out and stop me from typing (it did not do this the first time). Then it will let me type again. The thing that confuses me is that it fluctuates from letting me type to not letting me over and over again in random intervals. If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated. SuBK Posted July 28, 2014 Report Share Posted July 28, 2014 Sounds like you have a loose or bad ground connection on the light green wire. I had a similar issue except mine was completely greyed out. I re-grounded that wire and fixed the issue. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
