mentalcase
I'm inches away from jumping on a 7000 for $850. The only problem is any unit from ebay isn't getting a warranty unless you purchase a square trade one.
myke2241
not exactly true. Check and see if the people your purchasing from has a store front. Some times sellers will include a traditional invoice in the package making it easy to interact with the manufacturer.
mentalcase
The people selling it on ebay are not authorized retailers though. There is only a handful of them on pioneers website.
camar0rs
this is why you get a warranty with squaretrade
myke2241
so i made a offer on eBay on a 8000 and the seller sent me this message " I will respond to your offer, just so you know, a good majority of these units for sale are altered in undesirable ways to prevent tracking of the units origin among other reasons,Our units are 100% authentic brand new in unaltered condition.Thank you " i did a search and couldn't confirm this happens. i decided this a great place to ask if anyone has heard of this? camar0rs
its a good selling tactic for sure..... you could always get unit, contact pioneer and check warranty status.... I do this with a lot of computer equipment too, if warranty is void then you send back to seller... ebay will cover you on issues like this
