Rear Monitor Video / Static with Pandora & iPhone 5 / Bluetooth Call Static

Recommended Posts

Got my unit all hooked up and I am loving it for the most part.

First Issue:

I can not get my rear displays to display video after installing this unit. I have the Yellow RCA plugged into the rear video RCA connector, have selected mirror from the settings, removed RCA splitter & tried one monitor at a time, and then checked all my connections. but still nothing but blue screens.  Any ideas?

Second Issue:

Randomly, I will get static along with my music when I hook up my lightening connector via USB. I don't know what this is all about but it goes away after I reseat the connector.

Third:

People tell me that the bluetooth reception over the phone is not that great and they hear a lot of static. This is strange because I followed the exact same path as my previous mic. I think I might reroute it again to ensure it is not by other wires which may cause interference.

Make sure the lightning cable is a good one and not one of those cheap gas station cables. Out of my four cables only the genuine apple cable worked. The first one kept connecting and disconnecting and the second one have me static. They all charge fine from the wall. The Bluetooth has got to be something interfering with the wire. I had my top down today talking on the blue tooth and they heard me crystal clear but I didn't rerun the new mic because it was identical to the one I already had in there. Try using your old mic maybe the new one is damaged.

Thanks for the replies!

I am using an amazon cable but will swap it out today and I will also pop an SD card in with some videos to se if that shows up on the rear.

On another note, I was able to watch some music videos on it last night and I love the display. This thing rocks.
