katjakaj
Hi. I have an Avic F40BT, and I'm wondering if it's possible to show the actual speed on the screen, when driving? Also I would like to know if there's an easy way to bypass the nav safety screen?
gabeamin
I am not sure. i know the older units use the GPS signal to show speed on the vehicle dynamics screen. not sure if this one does. My avic D2 displayed it. I use the speedometer app on my phone to display my speed if needed.
Tone987
My UK Avic F40BT shows my actual speed and the roads speed limit on screen, you can switch it on and off in the settings menu.
katjakaj
My UK Avic F40BT shows my actual speed and the roads speed limit on screen, you can switch it on and off in the settings menu. I have the speed limit on screen, but I can't find anywhere to enable/disable the actual speed. I don't know if there's a difference in the units, mine is a DK (Danish) model. I've learned that the voice control is dissabled when i use the DK language settings, but it works fine with UK language, perhaps it's the same with the actual speed? katjakaj
Today I tried to set the language to UK, but it was the same, no actual speed is shown on screen There is nowhere in the menus I can switch it on/of.
abre
I have to agree with you, I have a F30BT which is the same as an F40 following upgrade to v4. There is no option to display current road speed in any of the standard menu options unless it's a function coupled with the Eco mode? Not bothered trying that, I know how thirsty my beast is, I don't need reminding by my Satnav!
Tone987
Apologues it was the unit I took out that had the actual and road speed limit displayed.
