mwhaley99
I have a nex 4000, connected to an iPhone 5s via USB. Pandora and aha installed on the phone, in the smartphone setup it shows Pandora are aha are useable via its connection, but when I look at it in the AV menu, they are greyed out. It does work via HDMI/USB or BT, but I believe it should work via just the USB ?

Don't use the HDMI TO LIGHTNING cable. That's how I use mine without a problem.
scotty3x3
I use Pandora and aha just fine with the av adapter and hdmi cable. Something is wrong.

scotty3x3
Sorry... I misread your original post. I thought you said it DIDNT work through the av adapter. They are correct... it's one or the other.
mwhaley99
Yes, tried original Apple cable, no change, yes its set to USB, tried starting App before connecting to Nex also, still not working.
mwhaley99
So I called Pioneer and they believe the issue is that the USB is connected to USB 2 and it should be in 1, so going back to the installers later today to have them change it over.
mwhaley99
So I took back to the installers, they changed it over to USB 1 and now it works!
highctech
So I took back to the installers, they changed it over to USB 1 and now it works! Back to the installers for access to USB-1? Sounds like you don't have direct access to both USB-1 & USB-2.
