Pandora/aha greyed out on 4000

Recommended Posts

I have a nex 4000, connected to an iPhone 5s via USB.

Pandora and aha installed on the phone, in the smartphone setup it shows Pandora are aha are useable via its connection, but when I look at it in the AV menu, they are greyed out.

It does work via HDMI/USB or BT, but I believe it should work via just the USB ?

If you select USB in the smartphone setup and then just use the lightning to USB cable, it will work. Don't use the HDMI TO LIGHTNING cable.

That's how I use mine without a problem.

That is how I have it hooked up.

And in smartphone setup do u have USB selected as your connection type.

Is it a apple certified or a cheapie knock off cable?

I'm using a knock off cable and it works but others have reported fails.
