joemamma1954
It is for the navigation units, including the add-on nav units. I ordered new avic-u260 nav add-on for my 4000nex, and it has traffic tuner, built in. I read install manual today, preparing for install when it arrives, and it shows traffic tuner antenna separate from gps antenna. The u260, 2014 model, replaces the u250. joemamma1954
I could not see any difference, just that it is 2014 model and u250 is older version. I was going to order u250, but saw on pioneer website the u260.
Shackleton
The funny thing is the website specs for the 4000 lists traffic tuner and no mention of the u260 being needed. Would love a follow up review on the U260! Eric
joemamma1954
I saw that on the specs also, went to clear channel website, but was not for sure until i read the manual downloaded from pioneer on the u260, where it showed the antenna for traffic tuner. I will do a follow up on the addition of the u260 to my system.
VBLUE42
I just looked over the specs on the web site and see no mention of a traffic tuner. Traffic on the 4000 can be achieved by using one of the App Mode navi apps or the add on navi module.

Third item from the bottom shows total traffic network http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-4000NEX
VBLUE42
Ah, so you were referring to the bullet points. I was looking in the specifications section. My guess is that is an error. Refer to my last post for traffic options.
Shackleton
Its and error. I think it should state its available when the U260 is added!
