sungod
Question for those with a NEX. Will the NEX automatically detect a registered device? The reason I ask is I had a z130 that I had to manually switch the pairings. This was a hassle because both my wife and I drive the car from time to time and it was annoying having to go in every time to switch the pairing not to mention the joy of having to walk her through it every time. I had talked to pioneer support about it and they said that the way that it was supposed to work is that it would look for the first phone in the list and if it wasn't there then it would go down in order, but it never worked like that. It stayed with what ever phone was paired last.
Shackleton
pretty sure multible phones are supported
VBLUE42
Multiple phones are supported but as with the prvious units you had to select a different phone when you entered the car. My guess is nothing has changed with the current units.
sungod
Ugh, that isn't what I wanted to hear. Such a simple feature. I can't believe they haven't fixed that.
sungod
Does anyone know for sure? I am looking specifically at the 7000 and 8000. Surely someone with one of these has more than one phone.
tickerguy
I have multiple phones I can try this with later on my 4000.
sungod
Any luck? Anyone?
tickerguy
It will hold pairing against multiple devices but it only tries to reconnect automatically to the last one used. If that fails you get the autoconnect fail box and have to manually tell it to try the other device(s). Kind of dumb if you ask me.
ericvic
I just tried and got the same result on my 8000. It seems like it should try to connect to next device on the list if it can't find the first one. It is easy enough to go click on the other phone in the list but you shouldn't have to. tickerguy
It doesn't. Tried it in several permutations for you -- nope.
sungod
Thanks for the confirmation. Exactly not what I wanted to hear. It seems like such a simple function that even my neighbors cheap Chinese OE knock off does.
