NEX device detection

Recommended Posts

Question for those with a NEX.  Will the NEX automatically detect a registered device?  The reason I ask is I had a z130 that I had to manually switch the pairings.  This was a hassle because both my wife and I drive the car from time to time and it was annoying having to go in every time to switch the pairing not to mention the joy of having to walk her through it every time.

I had talked to pioneer support about it and they said that the way that it was supposed to work is that it would look for the first phone in the list and if it wasn't there then it would go down in order, but it never worked like that.  It stayed with what ever phone was paired last.

I just tried and got the same result on my 8000.

It seems like it should try to connect to next device on the list if it can't find the first one. It is easy enough to go click on the other phone in the list but you shouldn't have to.
