Spankey
Is there a way on the 8000 to lock in an EQ setting? Since the access is right on the main screen I'd like to avoid anyone with itchy fingers from messing with any settings. Also, has anyone tried the auto EQ on the unit? sukanas
is there any way to set custom eq's for different bands? ie. bluetooth, radio (low bass), ipod (higher lows/highs) i know my p8400bh did this but 8000nex seems to set one same eq for ALL bands
Spankey
Hey Tekki..good to see a local. Will the auto eq take subs into account? Adjust crossover, etc? Sukanas, I think it appears that the unit will only do two custom EQ's. I don't think that means you can have other preset EQ's on different bands. Trying to figure out the manual before I buy this thing.
epsilonkore
The EQ on each different device (HD Radio, XMSirius, Bluetooth etc) are all the same, unlike on my last gen x950/z150. One feature lost among many gained... and I havent used the AutoEQ yet as it never worked right on my older unit... may play with that this weekend and report results. Shackleton
Auto eq words great on my Elite home receivers but not with the 4000nex Very flat lifeless and hollow sounding
myke2241
use your ears. there is no auto EQ'ing in any music production. The space inside a car is pretty easy to eq. pick a song that you listen to a lot and use that as reference. i think what a common listener mistake is to add bass. just don't make that mistake and you'll be fine
