kxed
I didn't see a reset button where is it
kxed
I found the reset button and it still won't boot up
Shackleton
The reset requires atooth pick or something very small the enguage the button. Also try taking out the fuse then then reset while it's on.
kxed
Finally got to talk to pioneer and they said it needs to be returned but since I bought it off Ebay there is no warranty I hope Ebay buyer protection will help me out on this
tekki
I like eBay for certain things, but not big purchases like these
Shackleton
if it was purchased new there shouldnt be a warranty issue
olevelo
if it was purchased new there shouldnt be a warranty issue Pioneer will only honor the warranty if you buy from an authorized retailer. eBay is not one. There are only about 10 of them.
Shackleton
Thats rediculous really? How can they sell new pioneer items if there not authorized. How about Amazon? How could there only be 10 dealers in the country?
ericvic
I think it is something like 10 online dealers. Places like Amazon and eBay are specifically excluded as you can see here http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Where-To-Buy/Pioneer+Car+Audio+Video+Authorized+Internet+Dealers?appInstanceName=default I don't think a company should be able to nullify the warranty because of where you bought it. tekki
They nullify the warranty because authorized dealers have a minimum price point they want the unit sold at, they want they're authorized dealers to make money. It discourages some to buy units from unauthorized dealers. Your eBay guy either is an employee of one of those authorized dealers, purchased at dealer cost and resell It on eBay for a little more than he got it to make a couple bucks, or it's stolen. My thoughts

My thoughts It funny how you state your opinion like its a fact. The seller I got my 4knex from, with over 5k in sales, is not an employee or an individual the seller is premiercarstereo. It does look like they are not an authorized dealer. If I knew about this policy from Pioneer I probably would have ordered one through Walmart a store I dont like. REALLY PIONEER WHATS UP WITH THIS? Get the most out of your investment - The manufacturer’s warranty and any rebates offered by Pioneer are not valid when you purchase from an unauthorized dealer.
