Multitask
Just wondering if anyone has the Chromecast and has tried hooking it up? If it works, then you'd be able to stream music or video to the unit.
joemamma1954
I know it has to be connected to a network. I ordered a usb powered powered mobile router and am going to try.
Multitask
You could use the ChromeCast app from your phone. I have a ChromeCast, just don't have a 8000 yet. Being that it has a HDMI port, I figured someone eventually would do that, I've already seen hooking up an XBOX via it.
joemamma1954
in order for chrome cast to work, it has to be connected to a wifi network, I do not know if it will work on a virtual private network in which you can set up on iPhone, but worth a try. As soon as i get my portable wifi in i will try and see. i have to borrow my son's chrome cast to see if it will work. I don't know much about vpn, but i am going to learn. If any of you get it to work, before i can, let us know what you experience.
Multitask
Not VPN, make your phone into a hotspot. I do it with my Kenwood dnn990hd for all the 'connected' things it can do.
