stevenj24k
yeah, not really a question, just a rant. i wish pioneer nav products offered ability to passcode the navigation screen so that valets, parking lot attendants, etc. can't access. i've had this on several OEM products in past. maybe i'm just missing it, but can't find the option on the 8000 NEX. otherwise, pretty darn happy with it. TheEdge
No problem for me, I am way to cheap to use a valet service... But, it is a great idea. So far, I have not run across this in the manual. The only reference is to set a password in case of theft. Page 192 in the manual.
DP3343
On my 4000 I can just take the screen off and put it in the glove box. Problem solved! Buy the 4000! Haha
zerog270
You could install a separate switch for the 12v accessory wire from the stereo? A long time ago my GF didn't like wearing seatbelts so I wired up a relay from the seatbelt warning. So she had to wear that seatbelt in order to use the radio. Way back when I was a car audio installer I started offering that as an option to my customers.
