Vaidol Posted June 19, 2014 Report Share Posted June 19, 2014 AppRadio3 NOT WORKING with Samsung Galaxy S4 on Android 4.2.2! Hi, I just got the Avic8000NEX installed last week. I have tried two different HDMI cables and three adapters now have bought the Samsung adapter (recommended), still says connecting, please activated pioneer device on touchscreen. Everything else works fine. Can anyone please help me? Called Pioneer and they said I bought it from unauthorized dealer so screw me. Is there some special difference between HDMI cables that I don't know about? Does it need to be HDMI1.3 1.4 or 2.0? Has anyone got theirs working on a standard HDMI cable or has everyone spent $50 on a Pioneer cable? I have all the settings according to instructions, even had Pioneer rep walk through every step, then was told either bad HDMI cable or need to return the unit.
