rays98
I installed an Avic Z2 in my 2002 Excursion 6 years ago. Just traded in in for a 2008 F350 King Ranch. I spent a TON of time on the Avic-Z2 wiring harness (both of them). Can I use the (metra harness) that has the plug that connected the old Avic-Z2 to the Ford Factory wiring and simply plug it into the F350 and the back of the New Avic-8000NEX? Thanks in advance
joemamma1954
I would check out the manuals on the two head units to see if they use the same connectors, then check on the metra website, they have a listing on all the vehicles oem connectors, to see if they are the same. My guess is all have changed.

Thanks in advance I'd be willing to bet that the Pioneer connector has changed. I've heard that the NEX units will accept the AVIC-Z150BH and its relatives' connector. I don't think it'll take connectors from older units.
