Toretto
So my Bluetooth doesn't work. Hasn't for a year "bought it used". Everything is greyed out. I can only turn it on and off. And for "Firmware version" it is blank. Any ideas? I'd like to use it. After having a rental with it, it made music and phone calls nice, lol

Alexei Navalny
It looks like the firmware update button is active (not grayed) - have you tried that? You can get a recent version of the BT firmware file here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation/AVIC-Z140BH?tab=firmware Get the V4.6 file and instructions. You only want to install the BT Firmware, so extract the files, but only copy the FIRMWARE directory to your SD. You didn't say which version of the NAV software you are running. People have mixed newer BT firmware with older nav versions, so that should work. Or, you could try upgrading your whole system and installing the BT firmware that comes with the upgrade. 2013 maps are the latest available ATT. It, like all of these "upgrades" includes the latest BT release in the /FIRMWARE directory. You need to manually install it from the BT settings screen. See the installation instructions. Toretto
How do I know which version of maps I have?

Press : Settings / System Settings / Service Information. There is also a hidden screen that you can see from here - press & hold the upper left corner of the screen for about 5 seconds. It gives more detail of the various software modules installed. If it says the app version is : 2.xx then it is the original Z120 system & maps (2010 maps) 3.xx then is has been upgraded to the Z130 via CNSD-210FM upgrade (2011 maps) 4.xx then it has been upgraded to Z140 capabilities via CNSD-310FM (2012 maps) 5.xx is the latest upgrade released - 2013 maps Note that the map versions are one year behind. For example, if you bought a Z120 when it first came out in 2011, it had map data from 2010. Also note that you don't need to do each upgrade incrementally to get to the latest. If you are running 2.xx you can go directly to 5.0. The reason I use xx for the minor version number is that Pioneer often releases free patch updates that either fixes bugs or adds a few features. These do not update the maps. They must be applied to the same Major release version (ie 4.6 will only update a 4.0 HU).
