Hey Dzo,

What if I accidentally deleted the LANGDATA file  :?  for the MRZ99? Can the zip that you gave me still work?

Camz

Yes, if you just deleted  PF090JPJPN.LNG the zip will fix it. If you deleted more than that you will need a backup or you can copy the files from the other tree (/USER/PRG0 or /USER/PRG1 depending on the presence of  /USER/PRG.FLG)

Hi Dzo

I have installed your language installer, now it is working perfectly and easy to operate & navigate my Avic Drz99.

Btw i have one more query that is how can change or install local GPRS map in my Drz99. Because every now and then Japanese version Map activate automatically and shows some directions. Though i am driving this SUV at Bangladesh not in Japan.

Will be appreciate your further help to mitigate or resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance and very grateful for previous help.

Regards

Karim

There must be a setting in maps that's giving you directions, try disabling all the map options in the settings menu.

While it may be possible to install non JP maps, I'm not sure how easy it would be and they aren't available for my region (NZ).

The Z110BT/F30BT use the same platform but there may be a hardware check somewhere in the boot sequence that means installing firmware from these models would brick your device.

I wouldn't do it without being able to boot from other media or JTAG access.

Hi dzo

Thanks for the great job you've done.

I have a Japanese mrz99 and I've tried all versions of your code. The language has changed to English, but not correctly. I mean the words are not in places they has to be.

The link is my LNG file and I appreciate it if you could take a look.

Hi good day everyone,
I am unable to paste the new PF090JPJPN.LNG into LANGDATA folder where the old one was. The paste option has been greyed out. Can anyone assist?
Thanks!

You need to delete the old file then copy and paste.

If you have a mrz99 you can just use the installer though (after doing a backup with the file manager).

I am unable to enter testmode. I have an avic-mrz099w. I put the testmode.key file on an sd card and the unit started on the screen it says

CAUTION!

TEST MODE FAILED STARTING

[Turn Off ACC]

I've attached a photo of the screen.

The unit is on my bench and I only have the power cables connected. I don't know what the other connectors are for. I have red & yellow connected to 12v and black to -ve.

Can anyone help me with what I have to do.

Thanks

Robyn

Here is a generic testmode key, it should work on all models.

generic_testmode.zip

The 099 is quite different to the 99 though. It's from 2013 and the fact that the mrz99 testmode key doesn't work means it's probably a different platform version so the translations are unlikely to work.

Before you do anything make sure you make a backup.

If you post a zip of the LANGDATA and MENU folders here I can take a look and see how easy it would be to translate.
