The download file said AVIC-8000NEX_UC_FW-Update_v1.08.zip, but when I extracted the folder was AVIC-5000NEX. I installed 1.08 on my device as instructed by Pioneer. The maps / navigation has some slight changes. I notice the voice of the GPS has changed but more importantly she does not mention landmarks, or street names. philfrompa Posted October 26, 2014 Report Share Posted October 26, 2014 You have to select the computer voice if you want street names mentioned. Just go into the voices, and if you look at each listing, it will tell you which ones will announce street names and which ones won't. I believe the first one on the list is the computer voice.
