AVIC-X8510BT Specific Help

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Forgive me for starting this post when there are so many about recovering passwords.  My problem is these are all for the X9X0 Series and in the Title is the radio I have.  I have walked through all of the steps and files which were expertly posted but Mine alwasy comes up with the Testmode Failed to start Message and thats where it stops.

Downloaded

1.4 Basic

2.21 Hacmod

Supertestmode.zip

Reformatted SD card to FAT32

Put the Mergency Brake on ands off

Have done all of the above and still cannot get passed Testmode Failed to Start.  Does anyone have any information specific to X8510BT

Thnk you in advance.

After Seaching through alot of Files I found the testmode.Key that worked for the AVIC-X8510BT.   If you looking to unlock I have tested this on this Model radio and it works.  Look for testomode-super-x50.zip  it works like a charm and I was able to recover the lost Password.  I would think that since it worked on this one the X50 Series radios can be recovered in the same fashion.  The File structure is a little different but it can be done. I am up and running as of the writing of this Post.  What lead me to this file was the Owners Manual and the Model numbers it covered....
