axeley
Hey guys. I have a major problem here: One day, while driving, my unit rebooted by it self and came up with a "static noise"-screen. After this reboot, the unit will not come on.. sometimes (rarely) it will show a "pioneer welcome"-screen, but most of the time it just makes white and black bars horizontally on the display. I was looking for a way to perform a hard-reset of the unit (because i feverently hope that this is caused by faulty software) .. Does anyone have a clue as to what has happened, and how to go about this problem? BR. Thomas.
Travolta
Looks like the problem I had with my old F920BT device. It begann with black and white stripes... I've tried to replace the flat ribbon cable, nothing happened.. At the end was the device it self, GPU or Display fault. I hope its not the same with your device. I endeed to replace with the F30BT Regards Eyad
axeley
Ahh - That doesn't sound too promising. The thing is, though.. - Sometimes these stripes doesn't appear, and the splash-screen (welcome screen) looks normal.. but nothing happens. In my experience (with other kinds of electronic and/or computer devices) if the cpu, gpu or display hardware was malfunctioning, the problem would be fairly constant.. So I'll keep my fingers crossed, that someone in this forum has the solution If not, this is goodbye to Pioneer products for me.. 1000eur for a product that last for only 3-4 years, is not worth it. axeley
UPDATE: I left the unit in my car, as I have had little need for driving the last few weeks. The other day, suddenly it started up in the "test mode" or what ever you call the program... But alas, I did not have the time to actually do anything, as I was terribly late.. Since then... no joy O.o
axeley
NEW UPDATE. I've found out, that the error log shows it to be a display driver crashing every time. How can I reinstall this driver? or flash the complete windows install? Anyone have any ideas?
