Someone was nice enough to send me a ISO of the D3 Software to try out, unfortunately, it does not work.

This is not the appropriate disc.
Please insert the appropriate disc.

I should note, I used the same DL DVD's as before, and the ISO looks good. I think the D1 just doesn't like it.

im still hoping that it was just a bad burn. Any chance of seeding the ISO?

I tried it twice (and validated with Nero), it's not a bad burn.

well the D3 is a 1.0 version. with all the updated software features of the D3, it doesn't surprise me.

I guess once the Z3 comes out, our units will be unsupported like the D1/D2

I will seed definitely when I get my hands on a full ISO. Just be patient for a day or two.

Comparing the D2 and the D3, only 108 Files are the same, the rest is totally different. I tried changing the Disc Version to the D2 but it still didn't work (I got a different error). I think it's pretty much hopeless.

Care to elaborate? I never saw you/anyone say it wouldn't work. Is the D3 software the same as CNDV-70MP?

Oh, and just so you guys won't try this: Going into the service menu, formating and trying to do the forced write does NOT work either. You'll just end up putting the 60 discs back in and re-entering your address book.

I suppose it's possible. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

i cant remember what thread it was, i think maybe the one were that hybiramp or what ever his name is was being an asshole. I said it somewere in there. There is a separate update disc if you have a D2 and want the D3 maps. Should be out in April/May
