bmuhlfeld
I completed the bypass without grounding the mute wire. In fact when it was grounded it muted everything. So i cut it so it was no longer grounded and it works perfect??? Any thoughts?

coocho
get a jewlers screw driver and push on the metal tap on the crimp keeping it in. ONce the tab is pushed down, you can gently remove the wire. Some guys stole my instructions and posted a thread about it. Feel free to look at it.
xmx250
I just did it before i saw the replies. Thanks anyway guys. What i did was use a tiny flathead screwdriver. I lifted the white nub that holds the pin in place. While lifted i just pulled the mute wire right out.

What does that pin control & why was there no wire to begin with. Thanks cfde76( new to this site, alot of great info )
