Paul1965
I just wanted to say thanks for the excellent work here, and at the other site. Yesterday I was able to create my own DVD5 and changed my boot image. I stripped all of the POI and language files (other than English of course) and used an RW. I also tried searching for a JPEG to PIM answer and found Jason's PIM question to Google. Too bad they haven't found an answer yet :(
ohlarikd
Well, we sort of have a JPEG to PIM converter, but the AVIC is very specific about colors, in that some colors actually look like semi-transparent versions of other colors. Its very hard to make a background that doesn't show through. For instance a particular shade of teal turns up solid white on the AVIC, while pure white will turn up 100% transparent on the AVIC. Not sure how to solve this mystery. PIM converter in D1 section. Derek
