Guess I misunderstood. You could mount two different antennas in one single housing, probably could work. I don't know if you would get any weird interaction when them being so close to each other. I was thinking you were meaning one antenna element, which wouldn't work since patch antennas are designed to work on a single frequency.

 

I'm guessing most luxury cars that have navigation and sat ready have that little fin at the back of their roof that contains both antennas.

Anybody make a combo antenna for XM and GPS (would have to have to leads obviously) that will work with the Z1 and the GEX-P10XMT? Would make for a much cleaner install only having one antenna....

 

Actually, there is no need because you can hide the gps antenna under the dash. Th gps antenna works just as well when hidden in the dash.
