CD-BTB200 & Bluetooth Phone Compatibility Guide

Recommended Posts

Service Provider: Verizon Wireless

Phone-SW : Samsung Flipshot U900

Auto connect: Yes, most of the time. Sometimes I have to go through some menus on the phone and then it connects. Or turn off Bluetooth and turn back on.

Basic Function: (Make & Recieve a call, Call Waiting, Call History, Dialed Calls, Received Calls, Preset Memory, Search PhoneBook)

Phone Book Transfer: Yes, finally after 4hrs of messing with this option. I'm not sure the order in which I accomplished this. I kept messing with it until it finally transferred the phone book. I don't think everything completely transferred, almost everything. Some #'s wound up as just 0 for the phone number.

Voice Calling: Yes, Seems to work, but is tethered to using the phone for this function.

Signal & Battery Strength Indicator: yes / yes

BT Audio Capable?: Not as of yet. Only slightly persistent in trying to get BT audio to function.

For the Droid you need to get the Bluetooth File Transfer program in the app Marketplace. Then you need to make sure that you disable the a2dp portion of the bluetooth handshake ie media on the phone

Sprint Mogul 6800

ROM 2.17.651.0

radio 1.47.01

Installed Jetware and ALL the functions work including phone book transfer. Slow searching but it works.

I had a problem pairing them up for a few days...then reset the BT adaptor and all is well now! Auto connects, works 100%

EDIT: Voice Calling works...it kinda jumbles up who im trying to call...but i think that may be the phone itself not recognizing what i'm saying.

Other Comments: Everthing seems to work. I will be testing the voice command this week. It would seem that people have problems with this phone with Windows Mobile 5.

I've read that some poeple have successfully connected the Pearl 8100 to the BTB200 with v4.2. I have Verizons new Pearl 8130(just an updated pearl) with v4.3. Has anyone here tried to connect the two or should I just assume that it works since the 8100 Pearl works. I know the phones are identicle with minor cosmetic changes and a few new features.

And insight?

I was wondering if you have an update on this topic?? My new every two is up this month and the BB Pearl 8130 is my front runner. Any information would be appreciated....Thanks
