Recommended Posts

Service Provider: Cingular

Phone-SW : Palm Treo750

Auto conect: Yes

Basic Function: (Make & Recieve a call tested. Call logs work.)

Phone Book Transfer: Yes. Can push entire phone book.

CAVEAT: The Treo does not connect with the CD-BTB200 out of the box. You must download the software from: http://www.jetwaremobile.com and enable all the bluetooth features. If this works for you, the software costs ~$15. Money well spent to enable all the bluetooth features of WM5.

For the Droid you need to get the Bluetooth File Transfer program in the app Marketplace. Then you need to make sure that you disable the a2dp portion of the bluetooth handshake ie media on the phone

Thanks to Verizon for crippling Bluetooth on their damn phones and their shitty interface. My firmware only supports OBEX and not OPP (object push), so no transferring of contacts.

I also can't figure out how to manually add a phone contact in the D3. Is this even possible? Also caller ID doesn't seem to work.

I can connect manually from phone phone is registered, but phone won't go offhook or dial when controlled from the D3. If I take or place the call from the handset's keypad I can talk handsfree through the D3. Next time I get in the car I have to connect again manually from the handset. Both ends are set to autoconnect.

UPDATE: This phone works GREAT after updating the software with some I found at Modmymoto.com (Moto Beauty Update 1). Voice dialing= yes, autoconnect=yes, basic function=yes. No bt audio and contacts must be p ushed one at a time.

Initially the phone was connecting fine but only communicating with partial functionality. I called crutchfield tech support and was told to switch the BUS cable from in to out...and then everything worked. I think they mislabeled the bus connectors on this unit or my phone is whacked.

Sound quality is great...mic is amazing - great system...if i could only get my phone book over and text I would be SO happy - but am satisfied now

Motorola RAZR V3i (unlocked European version) on Cingular

Motorola V600 on ATT / Cingular

Able to pair and use both phones. Sounds good, seems to work fine EXCEPT: Trying to use voice dial functions on the phones. Voice prompts from the phone have volume so low, it's almost inaudible. Turning up the volume on the AVIC all the way produces barely audible prompts. Same problem with both phones.

I have checked every setting I can find on the phone. Voice prompt volume is perfect with a bluetooth headset, but I guess the BTB200 uses a different profile?

Spoke with Pioneer tech support, they claim it's most likely the phone, but he was going to check with engineering and call me back.

Anyone else see this problem or have it working? Maybe there is a volume setting that I have missed?

I was previously using a Motorola v600 on T-Mobile and was also getting some very odd behavior...

I did not experience the volume issue... But, when using the v600 the D3 would NOT stay on BT-TEL when I would receive a phone call...

I could make a call fine... But, when I would receive one, the audio source would automatically start playing again when I answered the phone... The other person could hear the music but I could not hear them and they could not hear me talking...

Crutchfield was going to send me a new BT200 unit... However, a friend of mine and I tried everything with a different phone and it worked flawlessly with a different phone...

Definitely had something to do with the v600...

So, I ended up getting a Razor v3 for $25 and all is working great now...

Weird...

Mark
