lopester02
How do you actually power the Sir pnr2...do you just connect the power to a constant wire or do you actually run it to the fuse box...lttle confused on this...thanks for help before hand
BobboZR2
You have to connect it to some source of constant 12v. You can run it directly to the battery with an in-line fuse. I had a power lead already running through my firewall to my dash that powered my Alpine CDA-9835 so for me it was very simple.
MisFit
you can get the power right from your radio harness
BobboZR2
Yeah, I would have run mine from the radio harness, but I had a spare power wire in my dash that I didn't want to just leave there. But yeah, the radio harness would be the easiest way to go.

Rider69
I connected right to the Acc line and GND in the factory harness. You don't want to use the constant 12V, then the Sirius box will be on all the time. If ou want to get really into it, you could wire up a relay using the remote turn on from the Avic as the signal wire.
MisFit
No, you do want to hook it up to constant, thats why the wire is yellow, and not red
chazmink
I hooked it up to constant power to my amp in the right passenger well. I mounted XM and bluetooth under the glove box so that was a convenient source. The unit is switched by the head unit so it won't be powered up all the time.
brianas
components connected thru the ip bus system are controlled on/off by the headunit on/off even though connected to constant 12v+ its not always on
