I have heard that the flash memory can be removed and reinserted to be able to reload the older software, is this correct and has anyone done this before. if so what is the procedure for doing so? Guest Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 you will need the pioneer cd-r11 remote remote which is discontinued or you can use the CXB7426 remote which took the place of the cd-r11 to input the password. i have the step by step walkthrough if you have those remotes. BAND button = BACK in the service menu POS button = NAVI button in service menu The password doesn't require remote either.
