Hacking the D3 to use Unicode?

Recommended Posts

despite the D3 being able to support many, and i do mean many, language codes, i noticed that it doesn't actually support ANY east asian text. i have a lot of mp3 files that have east asian characters in the ID3 tag, but on the D3 the only thing that appears is, well, nothing. it literally converts all the unicode characters to spaces. is there a way to make the D3 read unicode, or am i dreaming too big?
