rbusta
I have my ecu laying on my passenger side floor board and all the previous wrx models that I was able to find information on said it was in pin 1, green/yellow tracer, but my ecu does not have a green with yellow tracer in a pin one. Please help.
MisFit
Speed Sense green/yellow or green/black ECM below glove box On the non-turbo models the vss is in pin 12 of the 35 pin plug. On the turbo models the vss is in pin 13 of the 35 pin plug. On the STi models the vss is in pin 26 of the 35 pin plug. The vss wire is also found behind the instrument cluster. rbusta
Found it, thanks for the great info. I took a picture to help anyone else who may need it. This worked on my '07 Subaru Impreza WRX (Turboed Model) The ECU is in the kick plate of the passenger side. 1. Pull back carpet from under dash. (3 plastic screws towards top) 2. Remove the 3 bolts holding the metal plate 3. Remove 2 bolts, one towards top, one towards bottom, holding the ECU in place. 4. 3rd plug, green wire with yellow tracer is your guy. See picture. cpages2
What wire is it on the Gauge Cluster?
tillithz
going to the cluster is more work, less convenient, and requires running a wire upward. Going to the computer is much better since a) you have to go that way to get the reverse wire in the pass kick anyways, assuming you dont make more work for yourself going to the trunk area. And wiring has less chance of vibration since its laying down on the floor, taped, or whatever. Not to mention the computer holds nearly every other wire needed with other installs. Such as gauge clusters, and things like that.
weberjam
What wire is it on the Gauge Cluster? Dark green wire with black stripe (NOT the light green with black stripe) in the group of wires on the right as you are facing the front of the gauge pod.
