official_style
i had my avic installed today, with the sirius tuner. i went from a sportster replay , direct wired to the factory headunit, to the avic with sirius tuner. i love the avic but am disapointed with the sirius. barely displays any info, doesnt show the signal strength etc. not happy. is pioneer going to switch to a better sirius tuner box? would a kenwood deck have better sirius abilities? im kinda pissed right now. PaisanNYC
1. Pioneer doesnt make the Sirius tuners 2. Pioneer does make XM Tuners 3. Don''t blame Pioneer for the inferior technology of the SIRI tuners. SIRI has always been a step behind in their technology and their manufacturers.
official_style
i was actually looking into the sirius tuners for all the different brands of radios, and alpine has one that just came out that has sirius traffic, and supposedly a much better UI. this is good news, hopefully they will be releasing a new one for the pioneer units soon. racerecchs
Hi all. Can anyone tell me if the replay functions (such as rewind, game alert, song alert) can be controlled form the head unit. (Also as background, I am aware the the actual radio being used would also have to have those functions, but I just want to know if the functions are controllable through the head unit.) Thanks
VBLUE42
hopefully they will be releasing a new one for the pioneer units soon. Dont hold your breath. Pioneer considers the current multi year old option to be adequate. Despite the hundreds of interface complaints they have received over the years.
