x850bt internet radio problems

I have an x850bt and use iPhones. When I was using my iPhone 5 and 5s I could connect to the stereo through bluetooth and use pandora and slacker radio and be able to see the music information on the screen. But then I noticed if I left the car and didn't close the apps down after leaving the vehicle upon starting the car over again I could still hear the audio but the music information on the deck was gone. I was ok with that happening occasionally, but now that I have upgraded to an iPhone 6+ and all I get from either app is audio. I can no longer see any of the music information on the screen. I have a pioneer x2600bt in my truck and have no problems displaying any music info with any phone that I use. Does anyone have any suggestions other than changing to android and hooking up through cables?
