X3700BHS, Galaxy Note 4, MirrorLink

Recommended Posts

According to the MirrorLink website, both the AVH-X3700BHS and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 use MirrorLink ver 1.1

I have the 3700 installed and am using the CD-MU200 cable. I have MirrorLink activated on the phone and it appers to see a compatible radio...and in Settings, I have the phone set up to "others" and MirrorLink. For some reason, whenever I click the "Apps >>>" button, it pops up the message "Please reset the smart device setting". I've tried turning the MirrorLink back off again, re-booting the phone, powering up the radio with the phone plugged in, powering it on with the phone unplugged...nothing seems to work. Would I have to have the AppRadio plugin installed? Any thoughts?

I've searched all over the internet, and have not found anyone who has gotten a note 4 to work with mirrorlink. I have a galaxy s5 on lollipop and 4000nex,and i can't get it to work either. As far as I can tell the two manufacturers kinda blame each other, but nobody will say what the real problem is. I'm leaning toward samsung since htc and sony phones both work.
