post-127882-0-79024600-1420958620_thumb.jpgI was wondering if anyone has any experience running ARU reloaded on a samsung device (note4 ported xnote rom) to a avic8000nex..? Everything was running peachy till i started the install of my front and rear cameras. To begin i had installed rear camera via factory reverse wire and then started reading in forum to hook up via reverse lights. So i dug into my harness found that one lil green/brown wire and wired it up. All was running A++ till I tried to figure out front camera and eventually i got it going thanks to an individual on this forum :) but when I shut truck off and cycled ignition back to on, the rear camera was stuck on boot of avic, nothing more till i disconnected batterys. ( I cycled this about 6 times, always rear camera) After doing such all i get is (see pic) from appradio. Furthermore has anyone tried using a samsung all share cast dongle? Obviously its a hdmi in ... Ive tried and avic will not recognize it what so ever...  It would be ever so nice to be able to drop the phone between the seats (forget about it) and still be able to access it ... till it obviously dies which wouldnt be too long after such considering dlna eats battery like no tomorrow!... Freedom of wires! :)

Hopefully someone has played with this! :)

*cheers*

Maybe something is wired incorrectly, or you need to do the parking brake bypass.

I run ARUR on a Note 4 hooked up to an 8000NEX. I originally set it up using an unreleased modified kernel (selinux permissive), but have since switched back to the stock ROM/kernel for compatibility with some of my other toys.

I originally tried to get this running on the Note 4 using a variety of wireless dongles and wasn't having good results. Things didn't fall into place until I switched to the Samsung MHL adapter (the official white one, not the older black one).

I have a Avic-8000nex with my Note 3 using ARU Unchained Reloaded. I also have the Netgear PTV-3000 wireless Miracast unit. So far it has work pretty well the past couple of weeks. There are a couple of bugs that I am sorting out. Here is a quick video I made showing it working

Sweet!

So in phone settings what do you have checked? Other = hdmi in? Because with hdmi selected mirror icon on unit goes away when you select usb it returns as with appradio some selections make it  disappear.

Do you have micro bypass for brake, or have you done the software bypass as per 1st sticky post on this forum. It looks like this is what is keeping you from seeing the screen.

Bypass is wired in and is wired correctly as the ground has a inline toggle switch to deactivate the device (simulating parking brake off).

As far as I know everything is wired correctly cause it was all working previously... before avic went into panic only display read camera mode.. LoL

Exactly the Samsung MHL3.0 adapter. Thats what was working for me as well ..  hmmmmm

So I figured out my problem... Before such I disabled the bypass and touched my ebrake wire to deck and all worked... Well in my bypass instructions it says you can wire a toggle to disable it or enable it in the ground wire... In which case I did. The lil toggle has a lil led.. To my surprise when I got everything wired up, the little led lit up.. On a ground wire....??? So I decided to get rid of the switch and jump the two prongs to have solid ground... Tada! I have video again and bypass is working which again makes no sense as the bypass has a little led on it stating proper operation and it was stating proper operation... ...
