photousa
I was getting pretty frustrated with the connection process with my Appradio 3 and my iPhone 5, so I decided to swap out the Lightening to USB cable that I had purchased off of ebay for an authentic Apple Lightening to USB and it really seemed to make a different with how the AR3 connected with the iPhone 5. I found out later that even though the cables look the same, they actually have a slightly different version number. So this started me wondering, would the inexpensive HDMI gold tipped cable that I purchased off of ebay also be causing issues? So my question to you folks is, have you noticed a difference from using a cheap ebay HDMI versus the Pioneer product or an Authentic Apple OEM HDMI cable?
400ixl
HDMI is a digital signal. It either works or it doesn't. So, if you are getting signal loss then the HDMI cable could well be at fault, if you aren't then it is fine.
