Covert_Death
Hey guys, so I have been working on flashing my NEX4000 to a NEX4100 and so far have had a lot of luck (images below) It seems everything is working except for the Pandora app. I want to do this the right way and not harm anyones devices. I am working very hard on understanding the 4000/4100 FW and as soon as I do I will also migrate to the 8000 and 6000 devices if I have people willing to test for me. Below i have a donate button. This is not required but is certainly appreciated as my wife is pregnant and we are both starting out our careers so things are a little tight and spending time on this, while fun, does take away from other productive things I could be doing. Anything you feel comfortable with is more than appreciated to help! Please Donate Via PayPal! Known Issues: 1. All BT audio (in and out) seems to not work. 2. Must reset SXM data after FW update to get SXM to work. DP3343
Have you tested Carplay with your firmware? Does that still work fine? Does carplay run any differently? I have an iPhone, not an Android right now, so the last thing I'd want to do is break the Carplay I do use for Android auto that I don't use.
Covert_Death
I don't have an iPhone but I do have a friend with one. I will try to get him to try it in my car sometime today. I would think it would but we shall see.

Well pandora not working over bluetooth is interesting. It should be seen if that affects both Android and iOS. I don't use Pandora, but I know it's a pretty popular app. It is interesting that Pandora isn't supported in Android Auto nor in Carplay.

AndroidAUTO does not support pandora in the music section and I don't think carplay does either.

Covert_Death
Keep us posted. Thank you for your help giving us the updates that Pioneer is too lazy to give. I'm thinking its a licensing issues as Google must approve the HW to run AA so I somewhat understand the lack of receiving this update. However not receiving anymore FW updates at all after less than a year is what I find offensive.
