Steering wheel control question

Recommended Posts

After researching, I found that on the 8100, you can hook up a camera to a/v input, then the option of renaming the a/v input to camera, thus having camera view as an input, and can rearrange "camera input" icon. On the x000 units, this option is not in manual. That is where the difference is. Now, it is possible(on the x000 models) to put a RCA splitter on the reverse camera RCA and run 1 to reverse input and 1 to either a/v input or aux input and have camera view available as input. The reverse camera would have to be powered on by ignition switched power, and reverse signal sent to reverse signal wire on head unit for both to operate as designed. With this setup, you would have 3 available options to view camera. 1 in reverse, 2 with camera view on(in settings), 3 with a/v or aux input(which ever 1 you choose to hook up).
