michaelnel
DisLikeUsOnFB nailed it. I took my truck back to the dealer who had charged me $175 for the install of my AVIC-8200 and they never even checked Android Auto functionality. Turns out the tech had plugged the extension into USB1 (even though I told the sales guy I was using Android, he did not pass that to the tech), and had gone the lazy way and turned on the bypass but did not connect the parking brake wire. I told them that was what I suspected and they said "no, that can't be it, on an 8200 you can just use the bypass". I asked them to plug the extension into USB2 and hook up the parking brake wire, and suddenly it all worked fine. AA came up, let me configure it, and it has worked fine ever since. Never going to that place again.
LON3STR
Will not having a bypass and wired correctly also fix the 6 scroll/tap limit on the music play issue as well?
